Rochester Hills Area

Sponsored by Rochester Hills Museum at Van Hoosen Farm

A getaway to Rochester Hills and the Greater Rochester Area, will be a surprise to travelers who are unfamiliar with the metropolitan Detroit area of Michigan. A beautiful community thrives amid the hustle and bustle of an urban environment. Busy and bustling was my first impression of this city within a city, so busy. Then I began to discover the gems and treasures hidden away. There are trails and nature areas, shops and dining, and great places for the kids to play. Then there are the incredible historic destinations and architecture that is unmatched in most of America, let alone Michigan.

The Rochester Hills area will be unforgettable after a tour of just two of the local attractions, the Rochester Hills Museum at Van Hoosen Farm and Meadow Brook Hall.  A full tour of just these two destinations will amaze and everyone who learns about these places will come back to discover even more. Rochester Hills is a modern city with every amenity imaginable, but they are also proud of their history and the story begins at Van Hoosen Farm.  Not only is the Rochester Hills Museum at Van Hoosen Farm a beautiful place to visit on its own merits, it is also the venue for a number of cool festivals and events, like the Stone Wall Pumpkin Festival.
