Metamora, Michigan a Terrific Town!

Don't let the scene in the photo fool you.  Metamora, Michigan is a Terrific Town that is just 45 minutes north of Detroit.  Not only is this community  in the heart of Michigan Horse Country, it boasts very unique shops, artists and a haunted inn.

There is something going on all of the time so you could just take a mystery trip in any season and find plenty of action whether it is a festival, a hunt, a balloon regatta of just browsing your way through the excellent shops.

This is one of those towns that will catch you completely by surprise if you take the time to explore a bit.  As you drive in you will be taken with the tree covered roads that lead you in and the neatly maintained working horse stables.  The town itself is compact and easy to just wander through.  There are several unusual shops, see the links at right, top quality coffee shop, an acclaimed artist at work and nearby nature areas that can take up your entire day.
