For native Michiganders, Ionia is famous for the Ionia Free Fair.  While this event is still very popular, it is only one of the elements that make Ionia a Terrific Town.  There is something going on all the time and much of it takes place in the historic downtown district.  The downtown of Ionia, Michigan is a genuine treasure that is easy to miss if you are in a hurry on Route 66.
