East Jordan, Michigan
East Jordan Michigan is another hidden treasure that deserves a visit in any season. East Jordan is almost at the center of The Breezeway nestled in the hills of Charlevoix County. Downtown is sprinkled with neat shops and dining spots and is right across the road from where the swans are known to play.
This whole region is a treasure trove of history from legends of hidden loot to ghost towns along the Breezeway. The Banks Township Historical Society was formed because no history of Banks Township was ever recorded in written form and many old pictures were lost. The society is housed in a structure built in 1892 in downtown Ellsworth.
There are two popular Farmer's Markets to enjoy during a visit. The East Jordan market is open May through October and the Ellsworth Market is open June through October.
