Fun in Bellaire, Michigan

There are some very cool shops in downtown Bellaire and in Alden as well. One of my favorite places to visit it the Historical Museum with all of it's artifacts from the early days of Bellaire. A particularly fascinating story is how the Grand Victorian came to be. The innkeepers are pretty good at telling the story. Seems the founder of the town was in love and the lady in question was in Germany and somewhat resistant to moving to the wilds of Michigan......

The Intermediate River flows through town and connects Torch Lake with the rest of Antrim County's Chain of Lakes. This river is perfect for a day of outdoor fun and I believe there are Walleye in it. You can find out all you need to know at www.riverside-marina.com .
