West Michigan
This area of Michigan is often spoken of as West Michigan and the first things that come to mind are the dunes and Lake Michigan. While sandy beaches and sunsets are great features, there is a lot more. The Hart-Montague Trail is an easy way to see the interior and get close to the wild life. There are great parks, historic lighthouses and the famous Pere Marquette River. Baldwin is in Lake County and is within 20 miles of more than 150 lakes that are not Great Lakes. While there, take time to find the Shrine of the Pines in Baldwin. This museum is the only one of its kind in the world and is the work of just one man.
