The Quiet Water Symposium is all about non-motorized outdoor recreation and a shared concern for our Great Lakes environment. Each year nearly 3000 persons attended this event. Paddlers, backpackers, hikers, campers, fishermen, geocachers and those that want to find out more all kinds of outdoor activities are welcome. The 2019 program will feature seminars by noted outdoor authors Kevin Callan, Cliff Jacobson and Jim DuFresne. In addition, interactive displays manned by knowledgeable enthusiasts and experts on topics such as wooden boat building, camp cooking, cycling, kayaking and protecting our watersheds and environment will be present. The exhibition hall will hold many vendors and outfitters all available to help you chose the right gear, adventure location or classes with which to get the proper start.

This one-day event held at the Michigan State University Pavilion has become one of the most popular events in North America. If you are looking for a great family activity, something for your scouts or gathering information on your next outdoor adventure this event is a must see.
