limits, John Gurney Park nestled along the east shore of
Hart Lake not far from Silver Lake Recreational Area Sand
Dunes and Lake Michigan. The trailhead for the Hart-Montague

Our historical Park Pavilion has been brought back to life and features a beautiful Book Nook, old fashioned popcorn machine, and lots of indoor picnic tables for games and events. 2012 is the 100th Anniversary of John Gunrey Park

Gurney Park was one of several auto tourist camps developed
along the West Michigan Pike during the 1920s, meeting the
need for accommodations among a growing crowd of automobile
travelers," said Michigan Historical Center Director Sandra
Clark. "It's one of the many fascinating stories of
Michigan's West coast heritage that the West Michigan
Roadmap project is bringing to life."
