The Harbour House Museum has undergone restoration and now serves as a treasure trove of local history. The first floor has been restored to a turn of the century appearance with a kitchen, dining room, parlor and library. The library contains 100 years of The Diamond Drill, the local newspaper of yester year.
The Harbour House Museum is a "hands-on" museum where many activities take place during the summer season. The Harbour House Museum is open from May 30, 2013 through August 31, 2013.
This historical home in Crystal Falls, Michigan was built in 1900 for the Harbour family by Fred Floodstrand, a master mason and bricklayer, the house was constructed with cement blocks and designed in the "steamboat" style of architecture with wraparound twin porches.
